Enterprise Day and Film

Dear Parents

I gave out a note today regarding the showing of the film A Series of Unfortunate Events. Please sign and return by Friday.

Enterprise Day went brilliantly. I was well supported by parent helpers in the morning who organised the cutting of the fruit and the threading of lollies and fruit onto bamboo skewers. The students in the class also helped with this. Thank you to the parents who provided frozen water bottles and ice blocks. These proved invaluable in keeping the fruit cool on this particularly hot day. We ended up making 200 skewers and returned a respectable profit of $130 after expenses were taken out. The fruit lolly kebabs seemed to be a winner with the public and I learnt that Woolworths Lollies taste exceptionally good for what you pay.

I hope to follow this up exercise of Enterprise Day with profit and loss and decimals in mathematics.

Some water bottles and frozen blocks have been left outside my class for students to take home.

Thank you for your support

Des Norman
